Vodafone: Starts Selling iPhone Today In The UK

14 January 2010 No Comment

Next up to release the iPhone is Vodafone which will be the fourth operator to get their hands on the sale rights in the UK.
After a long time of exclusivity at O2 there was a decision at Apple to get more operators involved to further expand their sales which resulted in that Tesco Mobile and Orange also got the rights to sell the phone in the UK.
Today Vodafone recived over 50,000 phones from Apple and they will be handed out to all the online pre-orders and while this does not include the total sales over all stores it’s an impressive number for nearly a 1 year old phone.

The Price will be basicly the same as the other Operators but here is a comparison of the data plan:

  • Vodafone:Data Traffic 1 GB (included in their plan)
  • Orange:Data Traffic 750 MB (included in their plan)
  • Tesco Mobile:Data Traffic Unlimited(included in their plan)
  • O2:Data Traffic Unlimited(included in their plan)

For Vodafone customers you can find the iPhone in your local Vodaphone store.
